About Us

Who We Are

Kindisaurus child care center is a small 26 place child care center located in Carinya avenue Mascot that provides high-quality care for children aged 2-5 years old. The center has been open for 21 years and prides itself on teaching children to be confident and involved learners.

The center is owned and operated by Jennie Langridge who is a Bachelor of Education trained (early childhood) and has been educating young children since 1990. The center also provides highly experienced educators who are dedicated to the center, providing small group experiences that are child focussed and aim at developing each child to their full potential. The main attraction of the center to families is our experienced educators who all work on the floor with the children each day providing stability of care and comfort for each child.

The center’s philosophy revolves around the children being active participants in their own learning, enabling them to be confident in their own abilities. Educators encourage children to form and maintain happy and secure relationships with their peers, educators, and families. A big part of the center’s program focuses on the children feel valued as unique persons which allows them to develop skills and abilities at their own pace.

What we do

Families play a huge part in the center’s program. Families and educators work together to build an atmosphere of trust and respect for one another, resulting in a sense of belonging. Two-way communication is vital providing a link between home life and center life and this is incorporated into the daily program. The center has an open-door policy during orientation periods and also when the child starts at the center enabling a stress-free transition to the center.

Kindisaurus also promotes building an awareness of the surrounding Mascot community. Children participate in local visits to parks, shops, and the library as a regular part of the program. Part of these visits involves the children learning about caring for the environment and contributing to a sustainable future. The older children learn a new language each year through the Early Language Learning App.

The program of Kindisaurus relies heavily on children’s interests as well as input from families. The children participate in daily music and language groups, as well as learning Yoga and relaxation methods. There is also a soccer program done weekly and a cooking experience fortnightly. The older children are learning Greek through the Early Languages Learning App as well as school preparation activities for the children that are interested. Regular incursions take place at the center and past students are welcome back to present storytimes and craft activities. This family participation both with present and past students and families shows what a caring and extended family environment Kindisaurus child care center is. It is also nice to have a small center where everyone knows you and you are treated as an individual and not just a number.
